Saturday is Skins day at my club so what better time to try the new Solus wedge with a captive audience. I gotta tell you, what happened in the next nine holes was truly inspirational. All was going normal with my game, no skins and a tight back that wasn't going to loosen up for at least another 4 holes. Then on number 4 I left my second shot short sided to a tucked pin with a sand trap in front. So I pulled the Solus 61 degree out of my bag for the first time. I had about 6 feet to work with and I'll be damned if it didn't bounce twice, spin and go in for a birdie. Naturally that got some attention and next thing I hear is my pal asking if he could use it for his wedge shot some 20 feet off the green. He steps up flys it to the hole one bounce, check and in it goes………. One more birdie… Thanks Solus!
Now that I've got his attention, he needs to use it again on the next hole, a par 3, and you guessed it holes it again. A skin for him…..Thanks again Solus. Anyway to make a long story longer we get to # 8 and he puts his second shot on this par 5 on the #9 tee box some 30 yards from, you got it, another tucked pin behind a sand trap. Tight lie on this tee box and he says this will be the test. If I can get this close you won't get it back…Sure enough, he lofts it high over the bunker, it hits sits and rolls into the hole for eagle 3 and yes, another skin. Soooooo for the rest of the day the Solus was the talk and yes it does perform the way you said. 4 hole outs in 9 holes of golf is pretty amazing and not being big on testimonials I've got to say I've never seen it before.
M. Snowden / Modesto, CA
PS. Went out last night before dark for 9 holes and holed another one….go figure!
I play in a Tuesday night, 9hole league at Sharon Woods Golf Course. On the first day of use with my new Solus 61 degree wedge, I hit a sand shot on hole No. 12 from a trap well below the hole (could only see the top of the pin) to within 2 feet of the pin from 40 feet away. My playing partner was amazed how fast the shot checked up (3 feet). I made the put for a par.
The following week on hole No.13, I holed out from about 60 yards. I hit the shot from below the hole which was very tight to the front edge (12 feet). I saw the ball land and heard the foursome from our league cheer the ball in the hole. It was for a birdie, and it won me a couple skins.
Last week I played at OSU’s Scarlet Course (U.S. Open qualifier course in Columbus, OH). On the No. 2nd hole I chipped to within 6 inches from 20 yards away to a pin placement at the front edge of the green. The greens were super fast in preparation for the U.S. Open qualifier four days later. When I hit the shot, everyone in my foursome thought the ball was going run past the hole quite a bit; but the ball checked up within four feet.
Two holes later on the number 1 handicapped No. 4th hole, I hit a front side sand shot with a narrow green sloping away within 8 feet of pin (just missed hitting the pin). I made the put for par.
I cannot wait to play again see how many shots I can save around the green with my Solus 61 degree wedge. I am seriously considering trading my current sand and gap wedges for the 56 and 51 degree Solus wedges.
D. Cottier / Cincinnati, OH
Man this 61 wedge is awesome. I work at Seminole golf club here in Juno Beach, Florida. I must say all the lies out here near the greens are firm and tight. So i picked up the wedge and tried it today. From 95 yards out I had a back pin to get to and flew in pass the pin and spun in all the way sum 13 feet into the hole for a eagle. What a great wedge.
J. Fitzgerald / Palm Beach Gardens, FL
These wedges are great! I'm a 6 H.C. and have played Titleist, Cleveland and Ping wedges. The Solus set (51,56 and 61) are hands down the best. I can stop it on a dime and spin it back with ease. My partners said "What’s Solus?" when I bought them. Now they all want their own (because they cant use mine)! Thanks for a great wedge!
D. Hull / May’s Lick, KY
I met Mark thru a tour player that is a friend of mine who let me try his lob wedge. I was hooked from that moment! What a phenomenal club! Solus clubs are amazing from a hundred yards in, rough - like a hot knife thru butter, bunker - lay it open, watch it spin. No thinking involved, set up, pull the trigger, and watch the ball do what you want it to. Solus wedges are the Rolex of all wedges!
J. Ingram / Sherman Oaks, CA
Just bought the 7.1 56 degree Solus wedge and simply it is the best club I've ever hit. My playing partners were saying "your short game is incredible today." It saved my round with multiple close chip and pitch shots in gimme range and 2 chip ins. The ball checks so well, no rolling 10 feet past the hole, the spin was great. Thanks I'll be ordering the set.
R. Lupo / Erie, PA
I recently purchased the 51,56 & 61 wedges. WOW. I played at an unfamiliar course and hit 6 wedges to within 2'. Not only is the accuracy and stopping power of these clubs unbelieveable, but wait until players realize how easy it is to hit the 'skip and stop' shot with these clubs. Again I say WOW. You have truly created a technological advancement!
D. Boyle / Media, PA
I have been reading about Solus technology for a couple of years, and regularly read Mark Thomas's reports. Last week, as a result of being grouped with other walk-ons at Winter Pines, I met a guy named Ray, who said he regularly works security at PGA Tour events. On the 18th, my approach was lying in the rough, just off the green. Ray suggested I try his club, which turned out to be a Solus 61 degree that Mark had previously hooked him up with at a Tour event. An easy swing, and I flopped the ball on the green about four feet from the hole. For once, the ball didn't roll 20 feet by. After rolling about two feet, it stopped. Amazing!
Previously, my plan was to buy a set of Solus wedges when the 7.1 technology becomes available to the general public. Given my experience, I may have to re-think the waiting part and get a set of 4.1's.
J. Ryan / Oviedo, FL
I'm fairly new to the game, and find myself in more bunkers than I care to admit. I'd waste 2-3 strokes, just getting out (not to mention my frustration level). I purchased the 61* Solus lob wedge a few weeks ago, and now it's one of the best clubs in my bag. Tough bunker shots are a piece of cake now, and the control is excellent. I never land more than a few feet away from the pin. Just enough loft to get me out steep bunkers, and then a nice soft bounce and light roll. This club is excellent, and I never leave home without it!
D. Tomaszewski / Humble, TX
My buddy Shawn Crooks and I played a three day tournament in Pensacola on the Navy Base. The short shots would end up on hard surface and I could not get the ball to grab the face of the club and spin. Shawn let me try the SOLUS 56 and things got a lot better fast. GREAT feel on the face. Can't wait to get a set in my bag.
J. Frenkel / Cantonment, FL
I just received the 56 and 61 Degree left handed wedges, man the best I have ever used. I played my first round with them and flop shots were no longer a fear of mine. I have never used a new club with such dramatic improvements in my game.
M. Becker / Chatsworth, CA
It's not always true that a product performs "as advertised" but that's exactly what my new 61 degree Solus wedge is doing. It's great as a lob wedge from any grass lie, and with the face opened up, it's the best club I've ever used in getting a ball up out of a greenside bunker and stopping it short on the green. Consider me an enthusiastic fan!
A. Pumo / Naperville, IL
I've used the 61 for over a year now and just love it. I use it for nearly every sand shot and certainly every flop shot. Its rough hitting surface assures a bit of grab with every shot. Good shaft assures accuracy for my chips and pitch shots. I'm going to buy the 51 and the 56 now to complete my arsenal.
B. Willis / Kailua Kona, HI
I have been playing the game of golf for nearly 20 years now and have played with just about every kind of sand wedge that you can think of. Some worked some didn't. I saw the Solus wedge on the Golf Channel being advertised, and felt that this club is for me. My problem with almost all sand wedges are the bounce on the sole. To me they all have too much bounce and I most of the time catch the ball thin. Since the purchase of my Solus Wedge, my short game has improved 100%. I am more consistent with my chips on to the green, never catching the ball too fat or too thin, and I have holed out more chips since I have had my new Solus wedge. From the fairway my balls stop better on the green instead of just rolling thru and off the back of the green. I have the 56 degree sand wedge and can open the blade up to what I think is darn near 80 degrees without having to worry about the bounce that will come into play, because at that point it is just about right. Thank You Solus on a fabulous wedge.
H. Aikala / Newton, NC
Guys I've got to tell you this is the best wedge I have ever hit. I am about a 9 hcp. I bought the 47deg. and the first time I played with it on my home course, I had second shot to an island green from 120yds out with a 25mph wind in my face from a side hill lie. I hit this wedge high and to within 3ft of the pin for a birdie 3. Was I ever surprised because I hadn't even warmed up what a club I'm sold.
K. White / Joliet, IL
It was a few months ago on the ninth hole and it was almost pitch black and there was like 7 of us trying to finish. I drove to the right of the hole in the rough about 40 yards out. I hit my 2nd shot and was like "check up" then one of the guys next to the hole said "wow". I was hoping please be eagle and sure enough my first ever eagle. That was using the 51 degree wedge which I tend to over hit because of its distance, so cant wait until next season to get the lob wedge.
D. Boucher / North Adams, MA
Just got a set of Solus wedges (51, 56, 61). After a few shots on the range, I promptly threw my Cleveland 588's into my trunk. After my quick nine, I am now going to either sell the Clevelands or put them in my personal hall of fame bag and leave them there forever! I could not believe how easy it was to hit from any type of lie. The trajectory on full swings was towering. Low punch shots stopped quickly. What was I thinking for not putting these in my bag earlier.
S. Chen / Manakin-Sabot, VA
Terrific wedges! I admit I was very skeptical, having played Cleveland 588's and not being impressed with them. I have been playing a very nice set of Zevo forged wedges (before Golfsmith bought the line) and thought these were far superior in feel and consistency to the Clevelands. I now have the 56 and 61 degree Solus wedges in my bag. I don't see any real increase in distance (which I didn't want anyways) but do see a very noticeable difference in accuracy and stopping power. My Zevo (and Cleveland) lob wedges both released way too much for my liking. The Solus sticks like I threw a dart and takes the guesswork out of short wedge shots. They are also extremely good out of the sand; very easy to open the face and pop the ball out with almost effortless swings. All in all I am very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone considering state of the art short game tools.
T. Consiglio / Hauppauge, NY
I've had the Solus Wedges (51, 56 and 61 degree) for about six weeks. When I received the wedges my initial impression was that they looked sweet! Head shape is great, high quality shaft and grip, top line is thin, "no glare" finish is excellent, and the alignment/setup to each club is second nature...the wedges fit my eye.
After two hours of using the Solus wedges around the chipping green and hitting some balls on the range, I knew they were keepers. There was very little "learning curve" adjusting to the Solus wedges based on the shots I was able to hit from all type of lies with each club. The real test for each wedge was the short game proficiency shot scenarios which are part the of the Pelz Institute Scoring Game Handicap measurement. I went from a "1" to a "+2", the improvement coming from more shots within the 3 foot circle. Still lots of room for improvement but the Solus wedges are going to help me reach my goals much sooner.
For me, the Solus wedges have great feel around the green, are solid on partial/full shots, ball trajectory is consistent, and I have excellent spin control. One more plus, I've hit a lot of balls over the last six weeks and I believe the wedges are going to show minimal wear to the faces and groves, even with heavy use. Great job Solus, I'm very pleased.
R. Misak / Fort Worth, TX
This is my first year as a professional, I played the spanos tour this past year. I purchased the Solus wedges about 5 weeks ago. I have played two pepsi tour events since buying the wedges and come in the top 3 both times. Shooting rounds of 68,71,71,70. I also play out of the Golf Club of California in Fallbrook Ca. I have had many pro's and ams ask me about the wedges. I would love to help. I am playing the California Golf Tour Winter Series and The US Pro Golf Tour next year. I am also playing at the state open in about 10 days. I think you have a great product, I just feel like no one knows about it.
J. Johnson / Fallbrook, CA
I have been using my SOLUS wedges for about two months now and my playing partners are not happy. They no longer have a pidgeon that they can "take to the cleaners". I have been able two cut my score down 10 strokes by improving my short game with the Solus wedges. The wedge play from the fairway is more accurate and the explosion shots from the sand are amazing. Consistent accuracy has made my game much more enjoyable. My playing partners have inquired about the SOLUS wedges that I am using. I just don't know whether I want to share the secret with them.
M. Renegar / Prattville, AL
I first saw the Solus wedge on the Golf Channel a few months ago. I was skeptical at first, but I then went to this website and after reading some of these testimonials I had to give them a try (51, 56, 61). And thank GOD I did! They are by far the best wedges I have ever played. The bight that the ball gets on short to medium range pitch shots is amazing. But the most impressive thing about these clubs is the forgiveness on your misshits. I have never had so many "bad" shots that end up 8 ft from the hole. A great investment for anyone who cares about scoring. And I just bought the 47* today. I've been waiting for this one.
K. Gallagher / Medford, NJ
I am a low handicapper who was in the market for some new wedges...I had tried everything...I had some spin milled Vokey wedges in my bag but wasn't satisfied with their playability, good for some shots, not for others. I purchased the 56 and 61 and they have easily taken 2 strokes of my game per round. Since buying them, I have gone from an 8 to a 5 handicap and have complete confidence from anything 100 yards in. These are the real deal!!!! No gimmicks here.... This is the best equipment upgrade I have ever made...bar none! Thanks Solus!!!!!
C. Badger / Pierrefonds, QC
I am not one to jump on a bandwagon but the first day I played with the 3 wedges I hit 2 pitch shots from 30 and 40 yards to tap-ins. I mentioned to my playing partners I had bought new clubs. Their comment was...what's new, as I have many sets of clubs and utility clubs. The shots I mentioned above were the first shots while playing; I had practiced a bit before the round. I found the clubs to be exceptional from tight lies. The ball seems to fly where you are looking. The spin rate seems higher than other clubs as with longer chip shots. Even with the 51-degree wedge the ball stops very quickly. In the sand they perform well...making sure to complete the swing will help get better results and the 61 degree club is perfect for short to medium range shots. From the fairway the clubs are within 1/2 club of my Pings. Overall these are very impressive clubs.
A. Shaw / Denver, CO
I just wanted to send you a thank you note. The wedges you prepared for me was one of the main reasons I qualified for the Senior British Open. During the qualifying round I used the wedges many times off of firm closely mowed grass. I was equally impressed with the wedges’ performance out of the high thick grasses around the links course. In short the wedges gave me great confidence and I feel it they were one of the main reasons I qualified for the Senior British Open at Turnberry. Thanks for your help!
Finally got to the course after having had the 56 and 61 for a few months and being stuck as a range commando. Used the 56 from baked hardpan about 60 yards out. Result was 6 feet. Then, later, from fluffy grass about 45 yards the result was 8 feet. Happy guy! Can't wait to use them in more on course situations.
M. Cooney / Seattle, WA
This may be comical to some people but I just had to submit my testimonial even before testing my 61-degree wedge on an actual course! Here is my story...I was giving my new Solus 61 a test run on the driving range before this weekend's ritual. The definite difference of Solus is that it imparts much more back spin than even the people at Solus lead on you to believe! After just hitting a few, I noticed that the grooves of my wedge were full of white stuff! That is right, it was filled with the ball cover residue! I didn't even get that much out of the "Pure Spin" wedges with the diamond coating (remember that gimmick some time ago?)! If Solus let's me, I will submit another testimonial after my first round using this incredible wedge this weekend!!! I am already in love with this wedge. I am so getting the gap and sand very soon.
I have to say this is my go to wedge. I play using Ping equipment, however I have found that the Solus wedge is more superior than the Ping wedges I have used in the past. It has far more feel and touch around the greens. Thanks for a great product, it has really lowered my scores!
R. Boyer / Lancaster, PA
I saw the paid programming a couple of years ago and I bought the 61 degrees at Golf Town in Montreal. This club works very well in sand, rough and on the fairway. I love the grip and the way the club stands on the ground. It is also very easy to open for a flop shot or in the sand. Last year, I replaced my Cleveland 56 with a Solus 56 and this weekend, I bought a 51. I would recommend the Solus clubs to everyone.
R. Duval / Granby, QC
While attending the Verizon Heritage in April, I introduced myself to Mark Thomas and asked him several questions about wedges. I am like many others in that I have tried almost every brand and have not found one that I was totally comfortable with. With help from Mark, I have for the first time a set of wedges that allow me to hit shots that I could not do with my other wedges.
Albert / Williamson, WV
I recently purchased your 56 degree sand wedge from The Golf Warehouse. I had run across it looking for something more than just the regular Nike or Titleist wedge. After clicking on the link I read some of the reviews and knew that I had to have the wedge. The other day was the first time I got to use your product. I took it on the practice green and after only a couple of shots I absolutely loved it. One of the reasons I like it so much is because it is lofted enough that when you make contact with the ball that it shoots up into the air. But it is less angled than a lob wedge that it goes somewhere without having to try hard. That same day I was at a very short par three and I took out the wedge and put it on the tee. Even though I hit the ball into the green side bunker it still went one hundred thirty five yards, it was amazing. Even though I had read the pamphlet about how well the Solus performed against the Vokey and the top Cleveland wedge and it went farther than both them, and I can definitely vouch for its performance. I have told many people about the wedge before I received it and after the other day I will keep spreading the word about your great product. If you would, please let me know about more new products when they come out because I am sure that I will like them. Thank you very much and keep up the good work.
P. Underwood
I purchased 3 weeks ago the 53° model wedge. My average 18 on typical 5500 - 6500 yd courses is about 91 - 99 (I've yet to break 90 but I'm consistently breaking 100). This wedge is a great help. I wanted a club to take the place of my old gap wedge (52°). I've never been great at backing a ball up -- before owning this wedge I could never do it on purpose. I'm still learning with the wedge, but the feel of it is amazing. I've literally gone through entire rounds without 3 putting since I've bought this - a goal I'd been trying to hit forever. I'm even satisfied with coming up short on my second shots on mid - long par 4's. I love using this thing. Once I get the feel entirely, I just hope the heat will follow my example and break 90.
I play golf about 5 times a week during the season. I spent most of April and May hitting my short shots poorly. At one point my handicap got to a 12. Frustrated with my short game I bought two Solus wedges, a 51 and a 59-degree. Today is July 9th and my handicap is now a 6. All of my golfing buddies are now looking at Solus for help. I hit shots I never could have dreamed of with my other wedges. Thank you Solus.
B. Hartmann / Tecumseh, MI
I just purchased your three wedge set, I played today with them for the first time, what a awesome set of wedges your ads are right on the money. I've been playing golf for over twenty years know and have never hit a more crisp feeling wedge the spin is unbelievable accuracy unmatched distance control automatic. Thank you for a club that literally does exactly! what it is intended to do - lower your score. By the way I shaved six strokes of my average score today the first time using my wedges.
J. Malone
It's hard to understand how well these wedges perform until you try them for yourself. I used to play Cleveland wedges because they were superior to every other wedge I had used. And believe me, I tried a lot of them. But once I used the Solus wedges, it was like a whole new dimension opened up in my game. They set up nicely, are balanced well and perform like a dream. Your tag line of "Bounce when you need it and none when you don't" is very accurate. An example of that would be a shot I had yesterday. It was a 75-yard fairway bunker shot to a pin that was tucked behind a greenside bunker. The landing area was fairly small, making it a difficult shot. But with the design of the bounce, I was able to pick just enough sand and ball to make it land just behind the hole (and a little right, unfortunately) and actually spin back about three feet! These are, without a doubt, the best wedges I've ever owned. They are the real deal!
R. Hagan / Goodyear, AZ
I was consistently frustrated with my short game, nothing felt good, never sure what club to use. I watched the commercial on TGC and was skeptical. A few weeks went by and there I was still playing poorly from 60 yards and in. I purchased the 56-degree Solus and could not have been happier…punch shots, pitch shots, lobs, bump and runs, you name it, the club felt great. I love to practice different shots now and the club instills confidence - the most important part of any golfers game in my opinion. I don’t spin the ball as much as some of the wedges I have hit but it feels much better than anything so I’ll give up a little spin. I was hovering around 85-84 with an occasional 80 but not playing well from short distances. Now I usually shoot in the high 70s and have 3 rounds of 75 to boot. My bad days are 83 now. I just finished off my set with the 61-degree and the 51. I figure if you love one so much replace everything in my bag with a Solus wedges. Now I have no gaps and all great clubs.
T. Miller / Mesa, AZ
I have had other name brand wedges, but none compare with the results I have had with the Solus wedges. I have no stress getting out of bunkers as in the past. My chipping and pitching have improved greatly. Also, I like the longer grips. Thanks Solus.
B. Clark / Hattiesburg, MS.
I acquired Solus 53* & 59* wedges recently to see what all the talk was about. I've been looking, unsuccessfully, for a wedge that has multiple capabilities. I'm writing to say that your wedges are the best I've ever tried. They do everything a wedge should do and more. My whole short game just got better. Thanks Solus!
J. Kendall / Sugar Land, TX
I had a hole-in-one on 6/17/06 with the 56 degree Solus from 110 out. The course was here in Fenton, MI at "Coyote Preserve Golf Club. I will be found on pga.com as a registered hole-in-one. All I can say is that the proof is in hole! I'm one of your best references! I've been satisfied since day one with my purchase of Solus golf clubs! I've been using your wedges both 56 and 61 degrees for about a year. I bought them on a trial basis and never took them back out of my bag. The look, the feel, the loft, the bounce, all of which is why I'm still using them! Now this past weekend they really paid off with a hole-in-one. Please send me your 52-degree. I'm ready for all three in my bag!
K. Buechel / Highland, MI
I first saw the Solus wedge in December of 05 while playing golf with PGA Tour player Bo VanPelt. He was home for winter break and I noticed how well he could stop the ball from short shots around the green. I asked him what kind of wedge he was hitting and he said Solus. He gave me one of his old wedges, one that was fitted for his specs, and I started hitting it. I could not believe the accuracy and check on the ball from inside of 100 yards. I was fortunate to meet Mark Thomas the Director of Tour Operations for Solus Wedge at a golf tournament and he fitted me with a 53 and 59 degree. My handicap was a 7 and I was losing shots close to the green. Since I have been playing Solus wedges my handicap has went to a 3 and I am chipping the ball in more than I have my whole life and getting up and down more than ever. I recommend Solus wedges to anyone trying to improve there wedge game and chip shots around the green.
N. Reynolds / Tulsa, OK
Well I cant believe it - my son of 15 yrs of age and a ranked junior player has put his Vokey spin milled wedges aside and has stolen my two Solus wedges of 52/56 (51 bent to 52 - thanks to Mark Thomas). Yesterday I went out to watch him work on his short game around the green of distances from 30 yds - fringe and viewed something of pure astonishment, he holed out at least 12 shots in a 30 min period. The only bad thing to this story is that I lost my wedges.
I just wanted to let Mark know - he is awesome. The tour news is a true benefit for Solus. You guys are awesome and make awesome wedges. I work for a large golf retail store and have sold my share of Solus wedges. It's not because of my great sales ability - it's because of Mark's wonderful work each and every week. Many people are skeptical in the store when I talk with them. My only pitch other than I (3-4 hcp) use them and my son (2 hcp very good jr. golfer) has put the spin milled Vokeys on the shelf and I myself put my cg10's on the shelf - my only other response is browse the website and see for yourself. BINGO they're in the next day to purchase. Solus wedges are the only wedges in golf PERIOD!
T. Gruenemeier / Orange Park, FL
I recently purchased all 3 Solus wedges straight from your
website about 3 weeks ago, and I want to commend you guys on an unbelievable product. It took me a few months to finally make the decision to purchase the Solus wedges, and it was the best golf decision I've ever made. I don't tinker with irons much, I do change drivers somewhat often; but I never realized just what I was missing in my wedges. I have played Carbite, Callaway, Snake Eyes, and Pings in the past, but I assure you I will never switch again. There is NO gimmick here, these wedges are perfect. They just inspire confidence and trust. I do pride myself on being a great wedge player, I consider myself pretty crafty with a variety of shots. I play each and every wedge shot just a little different than the last, and these Solus wedges are just butter, absolute butter. I want to honestly think you
for a wedge design that can do so many things, I could not imagine playing without them.
T. Hubbard / Winston-Salem, NC
I ordered the Solus wedge set (51, 56, and 61 degrees). I played my first round with them before I had a chance to go to the range, so I wasn't expecting much. These wedges have a great feel, and look. I hit a good amount of shots within a few feet, and even hit the pin on a par 3 with my 51degree (first time I had ever swung that club). I recommend the entire set so you have everything you need for almost any shot.
L. Partridge / Wichita Falls, TX
I recently acquired a Solus wedge from a friend, and I absolutely love it. I played 18 holes yesterday with a 12 handicap and I shot a 73. Every single shot inside 120 yards went in the hole or stopped within 4 feet. Golf is a very easy game with the right tools, and the Solus wedge is a great tool. It was the absolute best golf day of my life and it's all thanks to you, Solus Golf!!! My friend is never getting his wedge back!
M. Richardson / Hopkinton, MA
Talk about hop, hop and stop! Best wedge I ever put in the bag.
R. Cox / Charlotte, NC
I purchased the 61 Degree wedge and have been amazed at the performance! Used the club for the first time and easily saved 4 strokes off my score. This club makes bunker saves and short approach shots so much easier that I feel like these are no longer not attainable as far as possible birdie or par potential. Great club, I'm impressed!
L. Sparks / Medford, OR
In Dallas TX there is often deep rough and on fairways thin lies. The Solus wedges works very well in both conditions. The amazing part is that the ball goes the direction you want it to go much more so that other wedges. They are very easy to hit. I use them for inside 95 yds. They are super for pitching too. Even around the green in deep rough, the wedges gets the ball out easily and drops it easily onto the aim point of where you envision it landing. I thought that with the groove they would not be as effective in the sand, but the Solus wedges easily gets a ball out of the bunkers and softly too. I am very pleased. This has definitely helped my short game and especially my confidence. I highly recommend them.
PS. This weekend at the Byron Nelson, I spied the Wedge in a couple of players' bags.
H.W. Gordon / Dallas, TX
I received all three wedges in December, and I love them. The spin rate is much greater, and the distance is at least 5 to 10 yards longer then my old wedges. I only wish you made a pitching wedge, and I would add that to my bag, great wedges! Thank You, Dirk
D. Faris / Venice, FL
Just wanted to thank you for the incredible wedges! I put all 3 wedges in my bag and I finally I have a short game! Unbelievable! It's a blast just to go practice again! Chip in's are a reality!
B. Swayze / Fox Lake, IL
I purchased the set of Solus wedges and played them for the first time yesterday. I consider myself to be an ok golfer. I shoot in the 80's most of the time. Well, even though my first round with the Solus wedges was a 94, I was very impressed with the shots that I was able to make. From the flop shot to the fairway bunker shots. I would normally be intimidated by these shots, but I was so confident just having the wedges in my bag. These clubs are everything you advertise, and when I break 80, which is my goal this year, I will write you again. Thank you for such a great product.
K. Hicks / Wichita, KS
I played Solus wedges last year because I had rotator cuff surgery in Feb 05. I thought the improved technology would help my short game. My long game was seriously compromised by the surgery and continuing pain. Amazingly I was able to maintain a 7 handicap by getting up and down from the proverbial "drain pipe" all season. My long game is now back for the 06 season, but I am NOT giving up the Solus wedges. It should be an interesting year!
F. Powers / Williamsport, PA
Unbelievable club!!!! Worth every penny for the set of 3. Probably saves 2-3 strokes per round. Cuts the shanks and mishits down dramatically. Thank you Solus!!!
B. Baca / Albuquerque, NM
I decided to play the 58 and 61 degrees awhile before I would post this. I hit usually a ball with a low trajectory and I have always had trouble having the ball stop near the hole after fearing a close pin over a bunker, knoll or water. Well NO MORE. These wedges have incredible bite and accuracy is never a question. I have always been wristy with short pitches or chips and have had my fair share of the double hit, well these wedges have all but eliminated that problem. It took me awhile to adjust my sand shots out of greenside bunkers as I have always been a good bunker player, The 61 degree has boosted my confidence on the " little green to work with bunker shots" They come out so well its the swing adjustment and how little effort it took to get used to. My gap wedge is a Cleveland and it CAN and WILL be replaced. I still miss shots like everyone like a chunky or a thinny but they are now much fewer and farther between. I play off a 4 handicap and next month I am sure I'm going to have to give up more strokes next month ARG :)
I recommend them highly and lastly they are a pretty good-looking club and the gunmetal grey has eliminated sun blindness on lob shots over my stainless. Thank you !! SOLUS !!
F. Anderson / Lexington, NC
The club you sent me arrived this morning. Call it fate or whatever, but it was in the 60's here today (unusual for this time of year). It was supposed to rain all day but the clouds opened up in the early afternoon. Armed with a few balls and the new wedge I went to the nearby range. To me the first thing I noticed is how well the wedge sat up no matter what lie you put it in. I knew I had something special in the 1st 5 minutes!! I spent about an hour and a half from each and every lie playing lob shots, knockdown shots, the head high insta-bite, you name it. Now because of some head movement (early in the year) I chunked a few. I guess you will have that…but I never had one skulled wedge. You were right. It has so much feel that you get instant feedback…like you can feel how solid the backspin is. Guess the only thing I got to get used to is how quick it sits down. You can fly the ball further to the hole without a doubt. Well to make a long story short please send me the 51 Degree Solus wedge as soon as possible!! I guess the Cleveland 588's (4 of them) will have to adjust to retirement.
D. Coates / Canton, OH
The playability of these wedges is unmatched. First wedge made that sets up as well on a tight lie as it does for fluffy or deep rough lies. Have played competitive golf all my life, including NCAA
championships and a US Amateur. Nobody is paying me to play these wedges, I choose to. Take out a demo, you'll start playing them.
S. Crooks / Ft Walton Beach, FL
I am a 10 handicapper trying to improve my game at the spirited age of 65. I had been using Cleveland sand and lob wedges and was pleased with them until I succumbed to a Golf Channel infomercial for Solus wedges. Ordered the 56 and absolutely loved it. So much so that I then purchased the 61 degree and put my Clevelands on E-bay. I am a golf equipment fanatic but never have I found lofty performance claims to really be completely true until I played with the Solus wedges. They are everything you say they are, and more. Thank you for designing and producing such a wonderful club.
C. Gaul / Baltimore, MD
I am a serious golfer (USGA index 3.8) who has played lots of different wedges in the last five years (Callaway, Ben Hogan, Titleist Vokey, and Cleveland, to name a few). Now I play the Solus wedges (51, 56 and 61 degree). The first thing one notices when you hit these wedges is the distinctive soft feel unlike any other wedge I have played. These wedges spin the ball better than all others I have tested. They are extremely good out of the sand. When you learn to use all of the design features in these wedges, you find that they are extremely versatile. I am now able to play those "one or two bounce and stop pro-style spinners" from 20-50 yards that I could never master with other wedges. With that new shot "in my bag" practicing my short game has become a lot of fun and that will save strokes. Thank you Solus Golf.
L. Diamond / Sparks, NV
I recently purchased a 56 to replace my Wilson tour blade that I've used for 20+ years. I was never able to hit it well from tight fairway lies or short chips from fairly heavy FL Bermuda rough. Also 75-80 yds was my max. distance and consistency was always an issue. In fairness I should say it has treated me pretty good out of the bunkers. Since purchasing your club, my problems with fairway and chip shots have almost disappeared. I am consistently hitting the 56* 90-100 yds and straighter than I thought possible. Congrats and thanks very much for creating a truly high quality club that performs as well or better than promised.
P.S. If you create a whole set of irons please let me know, finally may be able to play scratch golf. Thanks again.
C. Huber / Miramar, FL
I am a Champions Tour Player and I was exempt in 2002. I lost my card that year also. I knew for me to get back to the tour that it was going
to take a lot more than the first time. Hard work was always a good friend of mine, so here we go. I was blessed when I met a gentleman name Mark Thomas, Tour Operations for Solus Wedges, and I had a chance to hit the wedges. The concept alone was very convincing, and man when I hit them the proof is in the pudding. Unbelievable!! Straighter, Longer and they impart more spin.
C. Hughey / Gilbert, AZ
Just letting you know I really liked your wedge lessons that came with the Solus wedges. Even though it's January and just East of Chicago, I got to play 54 holes of golf (over 2 weeks). I found that the concept of pulling the handle through the contact area applies to the full swing as well. Given that sculling and fat shots are two of my biggest swing problems, you can imagine how neat it was to discover such a simple swing thought could lead to a cure. Also, the lessons on how to hit various shots were the best I had ever seen.
Oh yea, and nice job on the wedges by the way. They are replacing my Cleveland 588's (not a bad wedge itself). I like how the bounce doesn't get in the way of normal pitch shots, but is there for higher lofted shots.
Nice work folks!
M. Miller / Hammond, IN
Folks, I gotta tell you, I saw these at the Edwin Watts store in Naples, Florida and thought they were just another gimmick pretty looking club. Then I looked up the Solus web site and read up on the clubs. I just bought the 51 to start and took it to my clubs short game practice area
today and was amazed with the performance. I was finessing the 51 to shots I'd normally use my lob wedge for with spectacular results. I now plan on filling out the set and buying the 56 and 61 as well. Look out guys at my club, my numbers are gonna come down dramatically. As
Pelz says, the biggest change a player can make on his handicap is from 100 yards in. Love 'em! Thanks Solus.
V. Frelich / Naples, FL
I am currently using the Solus wedges and they are the best feeling wedges I have ever used. The ball flight is stronger making distance control a lot easier. I am currently using the 47, 53 and 61 degree wedges. I strongly recommend trying this product … you won't be disappointed.
M. Boe / Phoenix, AZ
These wedges are ahead of their time. They set up wonderfully and there isn't a shot you can't hit or would be scared to attempt with these wedges. I have played in one US Amateur, and with these wedges in my bag now I'll be for more.
S. Crooks / Fort Walton Beach, FL
I am the type of person who is not easy to please - but these wedges are
incredible. I've owned a full set for the past 6 months, and my game has
improved considerably. This is because: 1) Solus Wedges perform, 2) My
Cleveland wedge is tougher to hit well, 3) Having a "full" set of wedges has
given me confidence in hitting a variety of yardages.
These Solus wedges DO spin more, and DO go farther than conventional wedges.
My average yardage with my old Cleveland 60 was 75 yards. With the Solus
61, I average 95 yards. With the Solus 56, 110 - and the Solus 51, 130. I
hit my normal PW about 150, so these additional wedges have really filled in
the "gaps".
I am proud to carry the Solus name in my bag. Keep up the heavy advertising
and promotion guys - everyone needs to learn about these special clubs. And
Frank - keep up the good work on the golf channel - you're "on fire" pal.
J. Mann / Summerland, BC
I recently switched to Solus wedges and I have to say I am very pleased with the results that I have seen thus far. I am usually a little hesitant to put anything new into my bag right before a tournament, but they are so easy to adjust to, that there was no problem making the change.
I have been very successful thus far with them as I recently won my first tournament as a professional at the first stage of LPGA qualifying school. If you are considering making a change, I would definitely give them a try. You will find that not only are they good from the fairway, but they are excellent for chipping as well.
A Young / Stillwater, OK
Purchased this wedge last week and made three trips to the practice range prior to putting it into official use. Used this club nine times in my Tuesday round and stopped the ball on the green eight times. Nice to actually make use of my green repair tool. Very easy to line up, and even easier to follow through and watch the ball fly. So nice to hit a green and watch the ball spin back. With a full swing, I found myself in complete control up to the 100 yard range. Today I went out and purchased the 61 degree Solus wedge. I did a lot of research prior to buying these clubs. I believe Solus has indeed discovered something new about pitching a golf ball at a target. Finally I'm getting excited about improving my short game.
Peter K.
I purchased the 61 Degree Wedge, played one round with it and immediately went back and bought the other two. They are absolutely the best wedges I have ever hit. If you are looking for some great wedges, you owe it to yourself AND your game to try these. You will not be disappointed.
A. Ross / Central, SC
I'm an 11 handicapper who was playing Cleveland wedges. I bought the Solus wedges and I have been impressed. They are longer and much easier to place shots near the pin when around the green. I highly recommend them to any golfer, even if you already have a good short game.
T. Trunzo / Monongahela, PA
Have played the 56dg Solus wedge for 2 months now and have lowered my handicap from 13.5 to 9.1 during this time. With the Solus I'm now am able to aim at the pin, where I before was pleased to land anywhere on the greens. It is fantastic out of the bunker. With the new confidence in my wedge play, I have started using it from around the greens where I used to shoot with a 7 or 9 iron. The result is phenomenal as I am now much closer to the pin on more or less every shot. I would recommend this club to anybody. Thanks to the staff at Edwin Watts Palm Harbor, Florida for recommending it to me. Shame I am a leftie, because a lot of people I play with
J. Haugen / Stavanger, Norway
What a great product. I could be your best spokesman. These clubs are much more than you say they are. Since getting the set, my handicap has gone from a 12 to a 6. Now I admit I got a new putter and worked hard to improve my game. But the confidence with these clubs from any situation is hard to put a price on. If you need a testimonial, call me. I'll do it. I'll make a commercial. You name it.
M. Hall
PS. Won 1st net second flight in the club championship. Chipped in on the 54th and final hole for a birdie with the 61 degree Solus wedge!!!
I have had the set of Solus wedges for about 3 months now and cannot believe how much better my short game has become. I used to worry if I missed the green and the chance of a chip in was very unlikely. Since I have had the set of Solus wedges I have chipped in with each wedge from rough, sand, tight lies and one heck of a Flop over a nasty bunker to a tight pin location. My playing partners hate when I miss the green now! I used to play Cleveland wedges and THERE IS NO WAY that my Solus wedges will ever leave my bag! I went from a 5 HCP to a 3 HCP and its going to be lower after our Club Championship. Thanks for developing a great series of wedges that have helped me turn my weakest area of my old game into my strongest area of my new game!
M. Burton / Midland, TX
Got my first chance to play an 18 hole round with the 51* and 61* this past
weekend. It was blowing 25mph consistently and I was really impressed with
the penetrating ball flight of the 51*. Shot 1 over par and got up and down
with ease. I'm sold! They will be in my bag from here on out.
T. Bishop / Wichita, KS
I purchased a 51 degree wedge and I have to admitt it has knock off
8-9 strokes in my golf game.
E. Chapman / Oakland, CA
I bought the 61 degree lob wedge and it is great. So great I just ordered
the sand wedge. The lob wedge is so versatile and easy to use it is my
favorite club. I don't normally do testimonials, but this club is
everything you say it is.
W. Jones / Columbia, SC
Started back playing after 30 years only to find everything has changed
except the short game. Finally tried the Solus wedge and now the short game
has changed also. Virtually put an end to fat/thin finesse short. Play
from 30 yards and in is so amazing that I now expect to get up and down
every time.
F. Thornton / Decatur, TX
I purchased the 51, 56 and 61 degree wedges and I've got to tell you they're
the greatest golf clubs I've ever hit.
I've tried the Titlest Vokey and Cleveland wedges and there is just no
comparison. They are so easy to hit, they spin the ball beautifully.
They're the most solid feeling wedge system that can possible be made.
So thanks for making them - they have helped my golf game tremendously. I'm
a 2 handicap and hope to get down to scratch or even plus 1.
T. McEniff / Napierville, IL
I own all three Solus wedges - I saw them on TV. After 3 rounds I shaved
about 4 or 5 strokes off. And I think I'll easily get 6 or 7 off in the
next couple of rounds.
Generally when I was chipping or pitching around the green I'd be within 20
feet of the pin. And now I'm 3 - 10 feet. It makes a dramatic difference.
Just makes it more fun. Whether you want a little bounce or a lot it's
easy to work with it.
The key for me was remembering to chock down and letting the club do its
thing. I'm very pleased with them.
I've owned Cleveland 588 before and was satisfied with tem but I saw your ad
and thought I'd give them a go and they've really proven to be a wonderful
club. Thanks a lot.
B. Jones / Vacaville, CA
I've been playing the Solus wedge set for about two months. I've been real
satisfied with the way the ball interacts with the clubs. Real good
trajectory.
I'm getting a good amount of spin - I play a Pro V1 ball so it tends to spin
a bit - but I find I get a medium amount of spin. The ball doesn't back up
30 feet - It backs up 5 - 7 feet which is real nice.
I've had real Good luck around the greens. I'm having real good luck lining
up my short chips getting them close to the holes.
I like the way ball spins around the greens. It's been a real good
experience. My scores are really consistent. I feel my clubs give me a big
advantage when I'm playing.
And I think the Mark Thomas web journal is great. What a terrific story and
super insight into the hard word he puts in every week to spread the good
word about Solus.
B. Moore / Temecula, CA
I just wanted to say that since I have my Solus wedges - I couldn't get out
the trap before with my old clubs - and I have not missed so far. I'm
batting 1000 so far with the Solus. I'm tickled to death with them and
telling all my friends about them. Everybody's excited about what I was
doing. Because I could not get out.
Even up against a little vertical cliff even two feet away from it below the
pin and I can get out of it. Like I said I'm batting 1000 so far.
Very Happy. Appreciate it. Thank you very much.
R. Luke / Monticello, GA
I bought three of your wedges in the last 45 days and have been very
impressed with several features the clubs starting with the grip and the
shaft and the responsiveness. Basically the visual look of the club in
alignment and set up. The accuracy of all the clubs has been excellent.
I've been using Cleveland wedges previous to that and I believe your clubs
are superior.
The great design sole allows me to nip the ball out of tight lies around the
green - within 100 yards of the green
I've been very, very impressed with the clubs. Its improved my game in
terms of confidence and I highly recommend the product to potential
customers. I've mentioned the clubs to several people I play with and am
very pleased with your product
It has met all my expectations and more and performed as you said it would.
and better than that. So thanks for a great product. You have a very
satisfied customer here.
P. Harris / Carlsbad, CA
I have two things to say about my Solus sand wedge: number one, after
practicing with it I realized I could flop better with that than my 60
degree Cleveland. So I took it out of my bag and replaced it with a 3 iron.
So now I have more tools in my bag because of the Solus sand wedge.
Second, just in the past week I've converted 3 out of 4 bunker shots into
pars. I've never done that in my life. One of these shots included a 45 yd
shot out of a bunker over another bunker on to the green into a 20 mph wind.
I've never made a shot like that in my life. It literally created applause
with the people I was playing with.
I can't tell you how excited I am about the Solus sand wedge I bought from
you. I'm a 15 handicap. I expect to get better now that I have the Solus
wedge in my bag. Thanks for making such a great product.
R. Benson / Sandy, UT
I got my Solus wedges about 4 weeks ago and they're just terrific. They're
unbelievable getting out of bunkers, and for the first time in my life I'm
spinning the ball and stopping them. The DVD you sent with it is terrific.
It's a great little lesson.
I'm really very thrilled with them. As a matter of fact I talked with one
of my buddies who also bought them and he's having a great time.
S. Koppikin / Los Angeles, CA
The biggest thing I've noticed is the consistency - I've bought all three
wedges - and tend to hit the ball a lot higher now. It definitely stops a
lot sooner.
In terms of the ball, it actually has little pieces of it - sometimes like
strands if you will because of the grooves on the clubs - I would actually
really spin the ball. I haven't much chance to hitting them out of the
bunker yet - that's a good thing. So I'm looking forward to continue using
them and I'm very happy with the product.
B. Malazooski / Menalt, PA
First hole of the day and I'm in the fairway bunker off the tee, with 150
yards left to the hole. After hitting a very poor bunker shot I have just
under 100 yards left to the green. With my new Solus Sand Wedge I swing with
confidence and the ball lands on the green and roles back to within a foot
of the hole. That's a gimme! Yell the other members of my foursome. I can
honestly say that these wedges are the best I have ever played and its taken
a lot of time and money to find such a versatile wedge as the Solus. After
buying the sand wedge and practicing with it, I immediately went out and
bought the lob wedge. I now have the 56 and 61 degree wedges in my bag and
they will never come out. From the sand, in which I have always struggled,
these wedges work magic. Thank you for designing such a fantastic product!
B. Archer / Burlington, ON
I just returned from a two week trip that included golf at Ft. Benning, GA, and Huntsville, AL. I competed in a 3-day Military Retiree's Golf Classic (ABCD player scramble with new teams each of the three days). I took 8th place in the "A" player bracket after shooting a very poor 4 under (55th place after round one) the first day (Red Stone Arsenal Course). Even though the round was a disaster, 7 pars followed by 4 straight birdies followed by 7 pars; two of our birdies were the result of Solus wedges from 30-60 yards to within 3 feet of the pin (number 9 & 11, both par 5's). An 11 under second day moved me into 20th place and included three more Solus wedge shots to 6' or closer and birdies. At the end of the final round (12 under), I was in 8th place. This round included 4 more shots from 30-55 yards to within 6' or less (all birdies) AND one shot on number 12 (a par 4) from 70 yards (a little down-wind) that nicked the front of the flag stick on the way down to the bottom of the cup and stayed. There was NO damage to the cup edge! This shot (an eagle 2 on a par 4) earned a team skin! I am proud to show off the Solus wedge, explain the double bounce, explain the sharp leading edge for fairway use, and the zero offset for straighter (for me at least) shots. The spin from 30 or 40 yards is FANNtastic.
L. Fann / Tye, TX
Got a chance to work with the 61 degree wedge outside in the real world. It has all the bounce that you need when you need it. Otherwise, the lower leading edge insures great contact regardless of the lie. This is a wedge that will appeal to all handicaps. Mid to High cappers will like it because it is stupid easy to hit. Low cappers will like it because it is as versatile as any wedge out there and allows for consistent execution of a variety of touch shots with voracious spin. It is noticeably more forgiving than other wedges as well as accurate. I say this in reference to just picking the wedge up and just hitting the shot without regard to practice. Opening the face up does little or nothing to effect forgiveness or
reliability regardless of lie. This allows you hit all kinds of shots from various lies with great confidence.
I'm a good wedge player and I particularly like Cleveland wedges, but I just can't hit the same shots with conventional wedges that I can hit with the Solus. Its two reasons for that:
1. I no longer practice chipping much! The base practice is done. I know how to chip and pitch. I can execute a fair amount of shots with a 58 and 64
degree wedge without a lot of practice as long as I don't get too cute. I don't practice enough to get cute.
2. For safety reasons, I rarely open the face to bring bounce into play outside of bunkers unless I'm in medium to deep rough.
The Solus takes care of both of the above. I can get cute because the damn thing is so forgiving and also there is just no penalty for opening up
the face on any surface. I don't think that I will ever use another lofted wedge again unless it has similar technology or better technology than the Solus. Going back to a Vokey, Ping or Cleveland 588 would be like driving with a 260cc Callaway Great Big Bertha when I could be using a Big Bertha 454cc. Just no comparison!
M. Bradley / Los Angeles, CA
I have three of your Solus wedges a 61, 56, and 51. I can hit shots I was unable to before with my Ping wedges. When I first started using the Solus wedges my hits were cleaner and the club head more forgiving on off center hits (of which I hit at least a couple per round). Since I have become more experienced with the wedges I have really been able to zero in on the pin and hit close shots from different yardages and lies.
They are wonderful. I wouldn't ever go back to my other wedges.
B. McAdams / Wichita, KS
I shot a career low for 9 on the backside of Farm Neck Golf Club on Martha's Vineyard, MA. I finished 2 under par from the blue tees.......I had five birdies, 1 par, and three bogeys. Truth be told I left 1 birdie and 1 par out there.
Why such a good round? My Solus wedges placed me in the position to score and also were vital to the few times I needed recover. There is no comparable wedge out there........I used to play with the Vokey wedges however the Solus is a precision piece of equipment.
I'm a 10.5 handicap and I decided to really focus on my short game this season. The Solus has certainly me to accelerate my progress. I wish they were in my bag long ago!
P. Borges / Los Angeles, CA
I am a Natural Golfer and the three Solus wedges really fits the Natural Golf swing plan. Using all three wedges has lowered my handicap by giving me a great touch around the greens. Playing on public golf courses I needed wedges that would be ready for any lie angle and Solus has made wedges that have given me the confidence to hit off of any lie. I want to thank Solus for giving me a short game I can be proud of. Thanks again.
J. Lisa / Corona, NY
The 51 is great for low pitch and runs and the 61 is great in bunkers without much sand. In fact when im not sure about a bunker I go right to
that club. They seem impossible to skull and I recently hit a thin chip that would have been 10 feet past the hole instead of 18 inches in front. The clubs allow you to swing through the ball no matter what the distance. No more flipping the wrists or decelerating, instead these clubs will make
you fearless and creative.
K. Van Gill / Pleasantville, NJ
I received this club middle of January 2005 and went golfing. The 1st time using the club I stuck an approach shot from 65 yards out to about 7 inches. The 2nd time swinging the club I was 65-70 yards out and I flew the pin about 5 feet and it spun back into the hole for eagle 3 on a par 5. I have never been able to draw it back. Love the club. Thanks.

The Solus has literally ripped up all the old plans of the wedge and started afresh and created something totally new. It actually works on all of today's golf courses. It works on thin lies, if you want to flop it, if you want to come out of a rough or you want to come out of sand. It gives you the versatility that every wedge player needs.

I tried all the rest, and now I have the best. Pretty poetic, eh? These wedges are second to none. I'm so happy I talked myself into buying them. Thanks for making them.
T. McEniff / Naperville, IL
Since adding the Solus 51 degree gap wedge to my bag, I have been able to post some lower scores by getting closer to the pin on those "inbetween" shots that did not work with my Sand and Pitching wedge. I believe that the reduced bounce on the Solus gap wedge and the way the grip sets up in my hand, provides the spin and check up needed to get close. I'm 77, play 18 holes 3-4 times a week and have a 17 handicap. Please add my email address to receive your newsletter. Thanks!
S. Cohen / Boynton Beach, FL
Great club! I am able to impart spin and control shots in the scoring zone. I am confident the looks and feel of the club will appeal to many. Easy to hit from a variety of lies: fairway, rough and sand. It is simply better than my Hogan.
C. Zeigler / Huntsville, AL
The club just feels good in your hands. It had outstanding distance and control. It is very easy to hit solid every time. It certainly lessened the lengths of my putts. I was able to get it closer to the pin.
L. Strickland / West Memphis, AR
First of all I would like to commend you on the Solus Wedge 56 Degree. It is by far the best Wedge that I have ever played. I currently
have Cleveland and Nike Wedges and your Solus is far superior with balance, feel and accuracy. I have only been playing for 3+ years but my scores range from the mid 70's to the low 80's. I take my game serious and practice at least three times a week. I am very aware of the golf equipment in today’s market and I feel you have the best Wedges in the market today.
J. Ward / Orlando, FL
Hi: Great club. I am 79 years old and getting out of bunkers has bugged me many years. True story...without hitting or trying it out first..upon receiving the club went into my first bunker and out the ball came. Now it was not close to the pin but in center of green. I let my golf partner try it several holes later and he too came out on first try...had hard time getting the club back. Many thanks for a great club. I am a very happy golfer with the Solus in my golf bag.
B. Kinnaird / North Palm Beach, FL
If you are looking to improve you short game, get these clubs. I fell for the advertisement and all that I can say is that this club is very easy to use. I have a 14 handicapp, which means I need to work on my short game and up / downs. On chips and short pitches, I get to the hole closer with this club then my other wedges (titleist and nike). I spin more with this club and have a better chance to hold the green. I am more confident at trying to aim at the flag. I can not explain why I am better with this club b/c my stance, ball position and swing has not changed - but when I am 50 yards from the hole I just get closer to the hole with this club. Also, it is very easy to hit a flop shot with this club. The danger of a skull on a flop is drastically reduced with this club. I am therefore more confident in hitting a flop if I need such a shot. Overall, a great short-game improvment club.

I have tried and tested numerous wedges and had a set of Cleveland's and Vokey's in my bag as of recently; both are very well
designed wedges and perform true. I recently heard of Solus and had an opportunity to try a 56 degree on my home course. Let me just say WOW!! I
was able to flop shots close to the pin, stick pitch shots that will check up nicely and blast through the sand with ease and confidence. The set up
of the Solus is very user friendly and the stock Winn grip feels comfortable at address. Solus has truly lived up to its name and R&D design. I now
own a 51, 56 degree wedge!! NICE JOB GREAT CLUB!!
P. Kim / Clermont, FL
I have used the Solus Wedge for about 10 rounds
and I can tell a big difference in my short game. It has helped me a lot
with my sand game and just rips through the sand allowing me to hit nice,
high, and more crisp shots than my Cleveland 900 series. I can also hit it
more crisp on tight lies. The Solus Wedge is the best thing that ever
happened to my game. Thank you very much.
L. Wheeler / Claremont, NC
I bought a 51 degree wedge a couple of weeks ago and have used it in about
15 rounds. I am sure it has taken several strokes off my game. I've hit a
lot of very accurate chip and pitch shots, and when I have to crank it up
for its maximum distance, the hits are just so crisp! I love it. Thank you
very much.
G. Puffer / Riverside, CA
I saw the commercial and decided to give these wedges a try. I was very surprised. The course I play on is a municipal course and this time of year there is not much grass. I can tell you that I have had the wedges for about two weeks and have not miss hit one shot even on hard poor lies. I did not change anything just hit the club. One thing for sure they don’t roll much so I need to change my approach to the wedge and just go for the hole. Also due to the tremendous loft partial swings go a little right as a fade. So I have to make some adjustments. I am not afraid to pull out that 61 degree at any time. Expect I will shave some strokes with these wedges. Definitely the club for weekend golfer.
E. Moore / Wake Forest, NC
I have the 61* wedge now. Of course I was skeptical at first, but I have also been the type of player to go with what works, not necessarily what's trendy. So far, this club has been a great performer. I love it for all shots around he green. Normal lob wedges aren't that easy to play chip and runs with, but this club works.

This is the finest wedge that I've ever played.

I really can’t overstate how much this wedge has helped my scoring. Chips, pitches, and flop shots around the green are easy now! It is possible to spin the ball even on short shots. It’s almost impossible to skull or chunk the ball with this club. On partial shots, the ball can easily be made to check up. This is entirely new and improved technology.
J. Kelemen / Tempe, AZ
The reduced offset virtually eliminated my most frequent short shot miss, the pulled shot. The lower leading edge makes feel shots from tight lies less intimidating. The repositioned rearward 2/3rds of the bounce is still very effective in our Southwest sand. The longer, less tapered grip is very effective for partial shots. Overall, my consistence and accuracy were improved with the Solus over my Ping S59 Wedges.
L. Fann / Tye, TX
The Solus Wedge has replaced my 56 Deg Vokey wedge. The Solus has more bite not only around the greens, but also from inside 100 yards. Once you figure out the bounce, all you have to do is swing it!
A. Blocker / Glennville, GA
Anyone who likes to put spin on their ball will love this wedge. I don’t normally have a lot of spin on the ball, but with the Solus I did. Overall the club performed very well.
M. Reese / Pearl, MS
Excellent feel and overall balance. Bounce allows solid angle of attack from fairway, rough, and sand. Has replaced my Cleveland 56 Deg and is currently in my bag!
G. Grabus / Raliegh, NC
All around look and feel will contribute to a better short game for all players regardless of their handicap. Big name companies, watch out! I have used Cleveland and Nike for the last 10-15 years. The Solus wedge has replaced both without contest.
R. Giordano / Titusville, FL
I have never been able to spin the ball as consistently as I did with this wedge. I have always carried a 56 deg or 60 deg wedge with me and I could only manage maybe 70 yards distance. With the Solus, I had consistent control and accuracy from 100 yards in. I took my current wedge and laid it in the trunk of my car.
J. Harris / Hendersonville, TN

It's two wedges in one. You can nip it from a tight tight fairway, and if you get in that big bunker you can open the club face and get the bounce you need to get the ball out of the sand. The Solus Wedge looks better, feels better and plays better than any wedge I've ever used. It's fabulous.

I have been using your wedges for few weeks and I must admit, at first it took some getting used to them. I had been playing Cleveland and Ping wedges. I was really into giving them a chance and now you could not take the Solus wedges away from me without a fight. I find they are everything Solus Golf said they were and more.
A.M. Autorino / Elmore, VT
I received my new 51 degree wedge last week and I don't know if it is thewedge, or just my added confidence with it. I worked at the range for about an hour with it on Saturday. All types of lies and pitching angles and was very impressed. On Sunday I really noticed a difference in my game from 50 yards in. Thank you for a GREAT product.
J. Heberer / O'Fallon, IL
I PLAYED SOLUS IN A RAINY TOURNAMENT AND THE SOLUS GOT ME OUT OF TIGHT LIES, BUNKERS, MUD YOU NAME IT. IT WAS CONSISTENT EVERYWHERE. IT IS THE BEST WEDGE IN MY BAG. I DO NOT BLADE BALLS ANYMORE BECAUSE OF THE LEADING EDGE WHICH GIVES YOU CONFIDENCE LOOKING DOWN AT THE BALL.
OUTSTANDING CLUB. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
U. Ward / Fayetteville, GA
Wow! Very nice club. Great feel. Puts plenty of spin on the ball around the green. I’ve never had so much spin on the ball as I did with this club. Very easy to hit out of the sand.
J. Throgmorton / Jonesboro, AR
The wedge is easy to swing with a very balanced feel. One can vary the shot height by easily opening or closing the face. It is effective from tight or fluffy lies. The Winn grip is comfortable and soft to the touch. Some of my best sand shots were with the Solus Wedge.
L. Nutter / Jacksonville, FL
Purchased 3 wedges, arrived the 9th, played with them on the 11th August,
first time! I'm 58, handicap "2"....shot par! Could not believe the accuracy
and incredible feel of your wedges...Thank you!
D. Forrest / Winona, ON
I love the Solus 51* club. It hits so clean and very straight. I use it from
90/95 yds out and it's the first time I've ever had backspin on the ball to
see it comeback after landing. I told all my friends about it and one has
already ordered one. Good Luck.

Anybody can hit this club - anybody. I don't care if you're a scratch golfer or a 36 handicap, it doesn't matter. The club head does the work for you. I think it makes the short game much easier, especially for your higher handicaps.

great out of wet sand.

The Touring Pros are beginning to see the real performance advantages of Solus Utility Wedges... they can feel the difference. The Solus Wedge is much more than a conventional sand wedge. They play at the highest level and the Solus gives them a distinct advantage in getting up and down from any lie!

It's almost impossible to hit the ball off-line or off-center with your
club! I love it. It will be my chipping club, and I will use it fearlessly
from both tees and fairways on approach shots. I cannot say how glad I am to
have bought your club. Frank Nobilo was right! What a great club---and I'm
glad I spent the money. It saved me about 4 shots over 15 holes today---and
I'm excited about using it again. I shot a 1 over par on 9-holes about a
month ago without it---and I think there are at least a few courses where I
can shoot even par or even break par with the help of your club. You have
done VERY good by me! Much thanks!
R. Barber / Phoenix, AZ
I recently purchased your 52 degree wedge. I have to say that the club did for me everything you advertised. I have struggled to lower my handicap but unable to do because my short game was a disaster. I am a 28 handicap and have already lowered by one stroke since I started using your Solus 51 degree wedge. I have hit more greens from 50-75 yards and my short approach shots are within the scoring circle more than ever before. I'm sorry I didn't purchase the whole set. I am going to order the 56 degree because I found a club that performs. I would like to thank you building a club that lives up to its advertisement.
G. Hasaka / Estero, FL
Hey, I'm hooked! Well, actually... I'm NOT hooking to be moreaccurate... Thanks. I'm not much of a golfer.... handicap in the low-mid 20's but even to me a couple of strokes a round makes a difference... your wedges have great feel... I'm lousy enough to spend some time each round on hardpan and the bounce/sole on your wedges REALLY works!
P. Stevenson
I have had my wedges for two weeks and I must tell you that they are everything you said and more. The weight and feel are great and the longer grip really helps when I choke down for controlled chips. Full shots are effortless, longer and a lot more fun to hit. Just one question? When are you going to offer a full line of Solus Irons? Great job guys. Thanks for improving the quality and enjoyment of my golf game.
D. Bonderer / Gaitier, MS
I'm getting up and down 50% more than I used to without the51-degree wedge. The club has a solid feel and it checks the ball very well. I have shaved a few strokes off my game which I'm thrilled about as well. Impressive club. I'm an 8 handicap.
D. Constantin / Raritan, NJ
What a great wedge. I have the 56 and have never chipped in as much as I have with the Solus 56. Best wedge I have ever owned! I hope the 51 is as good. Thanks Solus!

I think if you put this golf club into an amateur's hands, it's going to be a lot easier for them to hit a good golf shot. They don't have to hit it perfectly to make a good shot. They're easily going to see success right away.

It is amazing...best wedges ever...it literally blows my Vokey out of the
water!
A. McCormick / Matthews, NC
I own a set of Solus wedges. While playing Riverbend Country Club in
Shelbyville today, I was hitting the ball fairly well for me. I have always
played wedges that had to be hit short of the hole because of the roll out.
Today the air was heavy, the temp in the mid 40s, and I am FINALLY hitting
the ball to the hole with the solus clubs. These wedges played like any
other wedges will come up short EVERYTIME, because they bite sooooooooo
good. I have been working on hitting them to the hole, because I know they
will hold the ball. As I said earlier, I was striking the ball better than
usual for me today.
Hole 13 is a par 4 dogleg left. I hit a pretty good drive, leaving myself
91 yards to the pin. I hit the 51 degree wedge 21 yards past the pin, and I
could tell it was sucking back, probably going to leave me a 15 to 18 footer
downhill. I turned to get in the cart, and Fayne, my playing partner said
"the ball disappeared, it must have gone in the hole." Yea, right. Low and
bedamned when we got to the green, it was in the hole for an eagle 2.
Needless to say, if you don't have a set of solus wedges, you are not
playing the best and most technologically advanced equipment available.

The Solus Wedge performs. It allows the player to hit shots they can't hit with their traditional wedge.

I will buy these clubs, and I will put them in my bag, and I will play with them. I fell in love with 'em the first shot I hit with 'em on the practice green.

I don't normally get a lot of spin around the greens with the clubs I play, but I experienced a lot more spin with the Solus Wedges.
